01 Open the shift
Everything that happens at the pumps belongs to a shift.
- Go to Daily ops → Shifts.Open shifts sit at the top; anything still open from yesterday shows there first.
- Choose Open shift.
- Pick the outlet, the shift (for example Morning) and the business date. Each shift can be opened once per business date.
- Check the opening readings. Each nozzle opens on the reading the last shift closed on, so there is nothing to retype.
02 Put the crew on the pumps
Who stands at which nozzle decides who answers for the cash.
- For each nozzle, tick the attendant working it.
- Choose Open shift. The shift is live. Sales count against it until it is closed.
03 Close it with the meter readings
At handover, read every nozzle's totalizer.
- Open the shift and choose Close shift.
- Enter one closing reading per nozzle.
- Check the preview. It shows litres and value per nozzle, priced at the pump price in force on that business date.
- Choose Close shift & post sales.Sales and stock post now. Reopening a closed shift needs the owner.
Done. Next, the cashier counts what the crew handed in — see “Close the cash day”. Open it in OCTYN.
