OCTYN sets one cookie, and it only remembers whether you collapsed the sidebar. Everything else the platform keeps in your browser is listed below by name. Our website analytics are cookieless. 01 Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small text record a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. Browser storage (local storage and session storage) is a related mechanism: data a web app keeps on your device that is never sent automatically with requests. Both let a site remember you between page loads. This policy covers both, because the OCTYN platform uses browser storage far more than cookies.
1.1 First-party and third-party
First-party records are set by octynerp.com or app.octynerp.com. Third-party records are set by other companies whose services appear inside our pages, such as the payment gateway during checkout. Section 4 lists every third party we use.
1.2 Session and persistent
Session records disappear when you close the tab or browser. Persistent records stay until they expire, you sign out, or you clear them.
02 What we store
2.1 Cookies
The OCTYN platform sets a single first-party cookie. The marketing website sets none.

Neither our servers nor the Cloudflare network in front of them send any other cookie. If Cloudflare ever presents a security challenge to your browser, it may set a cf_clearance cookie to remember that the check passed; we do not read or use it.
2.2 Browser storage in the platform
When you use app.octynerp.com, the app keeps the following on your device. None of it is shared with anyone else, and none of it is used to track you.

Notifications and installation. The platform registers a service worker so it can be added to your home screen and receive push notifications. It caches nothing on your device. If you turn notifications on, your browser holds the subscription and we store its delivery address against your user record so we can send you alerts; turning notifications off removes it.
2.3 What we do not store
- No advertising or marketing cookies, on the website or in the platform.
- No cross-site tracking identifiers and no device fingerprinting.
- No cached copies of your business data in the browser: the app fetches from our servers each time.
- Nothing at all from the marketing website at octynerp.com, which sets no cookies and writes no browser storage.
03 Analytics
3.1 Website
On octynerp.com we use Umami, a cookieless analytics service, to count page views and clicks on buttons such as "Request demo". It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not collect personal data or follow you to other sites. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is likewise cookieless, to measure how fast pages load. Both produce only aggregated numbers.
3.2 Platform
No analytics script runs inside app.octynerp.com. What we learn about how the product is used comes from our own server-side records of the actions you take, which are part of your account data and are covered by the Privacy Policy.
04 Third-party services
Three outside services can run inside our pages. Each operates under its own privacy policy and may set cookies on its own domain, not on ours.

05 Consent and your choices
We do not show a cookie banner because nothing we store needs one: the single cookie and the storage keys above are strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for, or are settings you chose yourself, and our analytics identify nobody. If we ever add a technology that requires consent, we will ask for it before that technology is switched on and update this page first.
Your consent to us processing your account and business data is separate from cookies. It is collected when you create an OCTYN account, recorded with a timestamp, and explained in the Privacy Policy, which also sets out how to withdraw it.

You can view, block or delete cookies and site data for app.octynerp.com in your browser at any time.

Clearing site data for app.octynerp.com signs you out and forgets your appearance and outlet preferences. Nothing about your business records is affected; they live on our servers, not in your browser.
07 Changes to this policy
We update this page whenever the platform starts or stops storing something in your browser, or when the law changes. Material changes move the "Last updated" date above and are announced inside the platform. The tables in section 2 are kept in step with the software itself.
