01 The catalog
Every product the counter sells, with its pack, HSN and GST.
- Go to Lubricants & retail → Catalog.Lubricants, consumables and services, each with stock per outlet.
- Open a product to see its pack size, unit, HSN, GST rate and reorder level.Its history shows every price change and stock movement, dated.
- Set selling prices and MRP per outlet under Prices, inclusive of GST.
02 A counter sale
Search, tap, charge.
- Open Counter, search for the product and tap it to add it to the bill.
- Choose the payment — for example Exact cash — and Charge.Stock leaves the oldest batch first.
- Print a thermal slip or an A4 tax invoice if the customer wants one, then choose New sale.
03 An expired batch
The counter will not sell stock past its expiry.
- If the oldest batch is past its date, Charge is refused.When your dealership blocks expired sales, the batch is written off with a stock-take instead of being sold.
- Take the item off the bill — nothing was sold.
04 Sales and stock
Everything the counter sold, and what is left.
- Sales lists every bill, its payment and its GST.
- Inventory shows stock per outlet and batch, with expiry dates.
05 Counting the shelf
A stock-take puts the books right.
- Choose New stock-take, pick the outlet and count date, and choose Start count.The book figure is frozen at this moment.
- Choose Load current stock and enter what you count on the shelf.
- Check the variance in units and value, then choose Post adjustment and Confirm & post.Stock is set to the count, and any shortage is costed and kept.
Done. Catalog, prices, sales, expiry and the shelf count. Open it in OCTYN.
