01 Create your account
Two minutes, and no payment details. Your 7-day trial starts when you finish.
- Go to the sign-up page and enter your full name, business name and work email.
- Choose a password of at least 12 characters.
- Read and accept the Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement — each opens as a link.
- Choose Create account.No card is needed yet. OCTYN records the agreements you accepted, so they are not asked for again.
02 Tell us about the business
These details go on the invoices OCTYN sends you.
- Fill in the billing address.Your state decides whether your OCTYN invoices carry CGST + SGST or IGST.
- Choose Continue, then pick your plan and the number of outlets.Plans are priced per outlet.
- Review the summary and choose Start the trial.Your station is created and a setup checklist shows what to do next.
03 Your outlet
An outlet is one pump site. You can add more at any time.
- Give the outlet a name and a short code.The code appears on reports and credit slips.
- Pick your oil company (brand) and enter the licence numbers an inspector asks for.
- Choose Save.
04 Products and pumps
What the outlet sells, and which nozzle sells it.
- Tick the fuels this outlet sells — for example petrol and diesel — and choose Save selection.
- Choose Add unit to add a dispensing unit (DU).
- Add each nozzle on the unit, pick the product it dispenses, and enter its current totalizer reading.The first shift opens on these readings.
05 Opening stock
What is in the tanks today, from the dip.
- Enter the opening stock for each fuel from today's dip reading and choose Record.Stock is valued from this point on.
06 Your oil company
The supplier, and your account with it.
- Add your oil company as a supplier and choose Save.Tanker invoices are booked against this supplier.
- Open its account.Every invoice and payment with the oil company runs through this account.
- Under Your position with the company today, choose whether you have an advance with them or owe them, and enter the amount from your latest oil-company statement.
- Choose Save account.The account opens at your real balance, so the first tanker invoice draws it down correctly.
07 Prices, shifts and the first attendant
The last three things before the first shift.
- Set today's pump price for each fuel and choose Save price.Every litre sold is priced from this.
- Add your shifts — for example Morning and Evening — with their start and end times.
- Add your first attendant as a staff member and choose Save.Attendants do not need a login; they use a shift PIN.
- Open their record, choose Set PIN, and set a four-digit PIN. Tell them privately.They use it to take a nozzle when a shift opens.
Done. The station is ready to trade. Open the first shift whenever the pumps are ready — see “Run a shift”. Open it in OCTYN.
